Andy is a professional actor from Hong Kong, trained in all disciplines of acting. Soon after he acquire his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Waseda University, a prestige university in Tokyo with successful alumni such as Haruki Murakami (Nobel Prize nominee in literature) and Fumio Kishida (former Japanese Prime Minister), Andy auditioned and received an offer from HB Studio, a renowned acting school with famous alumni such as Robert De Niro (two-time Oscar winner) and Al Pacino (one-time Oscar winner). During his time at HB Studio, he worked with many distinguished faculty including Tony-nominee Lorraine Serabian (Zorba!), Paul Pryce, known for playing a Supporting role in the Marvel Universe and the award-winning David Deblinger (Remember Me) who helped shape his career and develop his strengths as a rising star in the acting industry.

 

Andy has been privileged to work on stage, film, and web series. He has performed as the Lead role on Off-Off-Broadway in the NYC Fringe Festival. Pain Inc., written by Sam Boelens (Mercury in Gatorade) and Scenes from Interior Chinatown (based on the National Book Award winning novel written by Charles Yu.) Some of his other Lead/Key credits include Thank You For Listening, directed by Alexandra Aron, founder of the Remote Theatre Project who has directed the Off-Broadway play King of the Jews written by Leslie Epstein, starring Richard Topol (Broadway: Indecent) joined by Erica Spyres (Broadway: Paradise Square), Daniel Oreskes ( Broadway: West Side Story), John Little ( Broadway: Cabaret), Dave Shalansky (Gillmore Girls), Rachel Botchan (Regional: Indecent), Allen Lewis Rickman (Broadway: Relatively Speaking), Robert Zukerman (Film: In Bed With Ulysses), Jonathan Spivey (The Front Page), Wesley Tiso (Chicago PD), and JP Sarro (Orange is the New Black.)and written by multi-award winning playwright Carmen Rivera (The Life and Music of Celia Cruz - HOLA Award 2008, Outstanding Achievement in Playwriting; The Downfall of Rafael Trujillo - 2015 ATI Award - Best Production; La Lupe: My Life, My Destiny - 2002 ACE Award – Best Production).  and Tongues (selected by The Exponential Festival), both funded by the NYC Cultural Affair. Andy has also performed with Off-Broadway Leading actors like Natalie Choo, Darlenis Duren and rising stars like Malachi Beasley, and many more. He has performed with the Remote Theatre Project. He also played the Lead roles in the short film What I Listened To, directed by Byron Ruf (Soma Ulte), starring Ri Raymundo (Escape) and Hong Rose (Till Death Do Us Apart), the short film You Hang Up directed by Kuma Lin (He narrated for a Pokémon Snap commercial for Nintendo.

During the preparation of Thank You For Listening, Andy was honored to become a teaching artist for the Chinese seniors at the Open Door Senior Center in Chinatown because of his proficiency in both Mandarin and Cantonese.

Andy is excited to continue and grow his career in the US and uplift Asian cultural significance as a performer.
